"Sunday in Merida" Mérida by nepalgoods

Mérida Travel Guide: 319 reviews and 633 photos

Go to Merida on a sunday...

..., when there is Fiesta in the city centre!
This is not for the tourists but for the local people! On a sunday you can see Mayan dances, and you see the people of Merida dancing Tango and Waltz!

We really liked Merida and enjoyed staying in the city. Love your fiesta photo. We went to a Friday night concert - again something for the locals, not just the tourists. Great fun. leyle

Great pictures and memories of the Yucatan.. We loved Merida and spending time at the Mayan Ruins.. Most of all, we liked the city of Izamal and the yellow convent house.. Have good memories of the place.. Thanks for sharing!!!

I remember wondering what Merida was like when I was in Cancun, now I know! Very interesting town history tips, especially the sisal trade!

Merida is a fine base for searching out Mayan history! Good timing with the fiesta!
