People skatin gon Kunming Lake
Well, I always thought, that the Dutch invented skating. But now I read, that the Chinese skated already during Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). At that time skating was a comprehensice ice sport: players could engage in ball games, archery and pole-climbing on ice aswell.
Very surprising and very impressive!
