Getting TO/AROUND: Trains in China: a good opportunity to speak to local people. I normally use the hardsleeper in China. Hardsleeper is not very comfortable but sleeping is possible. There are also softsleeper waggons, which are very comfortable. In India trains are normally very, very crowded. The best, fastes and most comfortable train in Asia you'll find in Japan: Shinkanzen I also used the train from Tashkent to Bukhara (Uzbekistan). That was quite an experience!
