Religion

Most people living around the Annapurna belong to the Tibetan Buddhists. You'll find many prayer wheels along the way. Go around and push them clockwise! That brings good luck to your travels. Never go the other way round!

People

Along the path you'll meet many nice people, backpacker and locals. In the small villages live people from different minorities. Tourism is a very important economic factor here. The crop of the small terraced fields just helps them to survive. But the money to send their children to school for example come from the tourism.

Mountains

Annapurna Himal has an overwhelming scenery of mountains, which are up to 8000 m high. When hiking in the valleys between the mountains, don't forget to stop once in a while to enjoy the breathtaking landscape.
