Restaurant Name: Royal Shawarma Bar

Right behind the Royal hotel where i stayed in Aahrus is a very good Shawarma place with real authentic Middle eastern food cheap and simple.

Favorite Dish: This place makes a wonderful Middle Eastern-style sandwich made of beef or chicken The Shawarma is here is the real thing made of strips of beef and marinated chicken placed on a skewer. It has the real stuff on the top as well tomatos and fat with the juice running down the cooking meat. The meat is roasted in front of you slowly on all sides as the skewer rotates in front of or over a flame for a period of several hours cooked with a gas fire. Note this is not the cheap version of shawarma is made of ground meat that is pre-formed and frozen onto a skewer which is a real yuck this is the real thing.

Than they take a sharp knive and cut off the cooked meat in thin slices they slap this on pita bread with and a tahini sauce if you like they will add hot sauce.

Restaurant Name: Noma

I asked around looking for a great Scandinavian meal and was told by many that Noma the only Michelin 2 star in Denmark was the best. So, I went for lunch and was very happy with my choice. They call the food "A Nordic Sensation� and I discovered from reading the walls that it was rated the 3rd best place dinning experience in the world. Anyway it was good for sure and the Chef Ren� Redzepis produced some fine Scandinavian food for this VTer. Noma has a beautiful location.

Favorite Dish: I had "grilled lam" Wild herbs and fjord vegetables along with Rhubarb and beets meringue and hip rose.

all which was presented very nicely -- a very classy place.
