Crowds go for the Fun of Funiculi Funicular |
| | looking around Capri Blue Grotto CAH-pree please Video of CAPRIGo early before the crowds. Or go off season is my recommendation one can find a boat i at Marina Grande, Go to the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) just after you get to Capri while you are still at beach level. Since most of the stuff to see is up in the hills in Capri and the tour groups go right off the boat to these you can beat the tourist trap by going early. You see it attracts huge crows for a good reason it is in fact beautiful and worth seeing, but much better if you are smart about it |
| | Climb to the Gods The “Footpath of the Gods”: that is the kind of title that makes you chuckle a little when you first hear it. WOW those Latin’s like Giampiero- so expressive so romantic so full of Ok I won’t go there!
However when the VTer is up on top loking at the narrow ledge and the open sky and the beautiful blue blue sea under you thousands of feet it all becomes understandable.
In a quite warm sun with the only sound the wind, the sea and the Ravens Croak it does seem that Jupiter is visiting from heaven and that Neptune could grab you from the sea at any time he wished. Try it in Italian say Il Sentiero degli Dei than keep walking the trail to Monte Solaro
This is the high point, in all senses, of a walking route along the beautiful and very dramatic trail to Monte Solaro, where tiny houses hang on the the white cliffs as the cliffs plunge into the Mediterranean Sea. |

Good for you! ><><>< | Pawtuxet Thu Aug 2, 2007 13:22 UTC thanks for the tour...other than the blue grotto. Ancient! wonderful. My husband was there when I was at home having our son. Some people have all the fun. :-( | tiabunna Fri Feb 2, 2007 00:24 UTC An interesting visit - though I'd hardly rank with the glitterati, so I think I'd be heading for the OTBP part! | icunme Sun Oct 22, 2006 23:06 UTC Thanks for the tour! |
