London was the last stop on the tour of my first foreign trip. We toured the Tower of London and had a picnic supper of fish and chips in front of the Houses of Parliament on the River Thames. My friend Geoff came down by train from Newcastle-upon-Tyne on the last night there.
ENGLAND SWINGS by Roger Miller
England swings like a pendulum do
Bobbies on bicycles two by two
Westminster Abbey, the tower of Big Ben
The rosy red cheeks of the little children
Now, if you huff and puff and you finally save enough
Money up to take your family on a trip across the sea
Take a tip before you take your trip
Let me tell you where to go
Go to England, oh
England swings like a pendulum do
Bobbies on bicycles two by two
Westminster Abbey, the tower of Big Ben
The rosy red cheeks of the little children
Mama's old pajamas and your papa's mustache
Falling out the window sill, frolic in the grass,
Tryin' to mock the way they talk, fun but all in vain,
Gaping at the dapper men with derby hats and canes.

Nice page:) I loved that "The forbidden photos are always the best ones" :D Actually I take photos even if I know it is forbidden :) Have nice weekend!
This is the place I wanna be!!! I've always dreamt about England since I was a tiny boy.. I hope to visit soon
I hate fish and chips! I bet Dee would like some other British food if she found the right place to try it!
ON this sad day in London, I needed a reminder of how wonderful this city is. You've provided that for me, Nat. I even smiled about you dancing with the ladies. The only British food I really adore is Fish & Chips.
The fish and chips made me hungry. thanks alot!
Nice London page ;)
Clever of you to get extra credit for a holiday!
Very good updates! London is the only place in Great Britain I have seen so far. I see there's much more to see
Great London page Nat. Well my son has ketchup on his chips! As for the Beefeater, yours looks as if he is giving a little smile, which you say is very unusual.
B1bob knows his London history and his fish and chips.
