There are many fast food places in Ottawa, like Mc Donalds, Wendies, etc. If you want gourmet food, try a steakhouse. Here is one at the west end. Look at the big cows in front!

Favorite Dish: You also have to eat in one of many Chinese buffets. Huge selection, affordable prices. Our favourite one is the Royal Chinese Buffet at the intersection of Huntclub road and Bank Street.

Authentic Lebanese: Aladdin Bakery

Thanks to Canada's multicultural population, we have fine places like this here.

You gotta try this if you're here in Ottawa.
It is the greatest and freshest Lebanese pie ever. Basically nothing complicated but it is always fresh and it is made on open fire.
When you want to have something affordable and tasty at the same time, try this. At this place you can really eat for a dollar! Many students flood the place on week days and huge line ups form. There are two pizza places near by but people still come here for the fresh pie. They also sell bus passes, bus tickets, cigarettes and many other things. it is kind of a convenient store type of place with a small bakery implemented at one corner inside. The owners are two Lebanese. Very friendly service. There are some tables inside so you can sitdown if you want.

Favorite Dish: My favorite is Zaatar & cheese pie. Zaatar is a Middle eastern spice. Imagine a pita bread size pie made freshly with zaatar on the top. The mix they use to prepare the sauce like topping is secret. You can also order it cheese, meat & cheese, meat alone or spinach. They fold it in half when it's done and place it in a small paper bag for you. You can sitdown to eat it or just take it with you and eat it while you walk or drive. We prefer to eat it right there, fresh. Many other places in Ottawa tried to imitate this bakery with no success.
When you order something here, you see the guy placing it in the open fire oven for you.
