Taos is much smaller and cheaper than Santa Fe. Although the art can still be quite expensive, it is usually less than similar items in Santa Fe.

Be sure to make a visit to Taos Pueblo.

 Great place for breakfast but there is always a line to get in. The blue corn pancakes with pinons is my favorite.
