You will see much more customs and culture in Fort Worth as far a cowboys. There are stockshow parades which are fun and state fairs. The State fair of Texas starts September 25 this year 2004 and is the largest in the country featuring BIG TEX!

Texans call men here "Bubba". I am not sure why? It is a southern term. Other terms are also 'fixin' and ya'll. I have only gotten ya'll down so far.

There are flags everywhere as this is a VERY proud state. The Texans really do think this state is a country alone. hehe!

6 Flags over Texas is an annual event for me. My company has it's picnic there. This year was the newest ride "Superman". It takes you to the top up 325 feet and drops you to the ground. :-))) And you thought your feet hurt after walking an amusement park all day. :)

Cultural Events: Annual Greek Festival

This was the first year that I went, but I always wanted to go to this event. There are 25,000 people that attend the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox church. You can see dancing, eat Greek foods and have some OPA fun! The address is 13555 Hillcrest Road, Dallas TX.
