<font color=green><font size=3>This has to be a VERY special hour that I went to mass and saw the Papa!

Thanks my friend for taking me there. It was a month after 9-11 and very special security. The Vatican is the MOST beautiful place I have EVER seen.

I went back again January 2003 for Christmas. What a great time to be in this holy palace.

<font color=purple><font size=2>The greatest Krakowian resides in Vatican since 1978. Before taking over the Holy See as Pope John Paul II, Karol Wojtyla lived in Krakow for four decades–practically through his entire adult life until his assumption of the papacy.

Pros and Cons

Pros:The ABSOLUTELY most beautiful place I have ever seen!
Cons:None, the Swiss Guards are great protectors..
In a nutshell:Papa!

You're so lucky you could get as close as 5 m to the pope! The photos are stunning - I love the fresco pics!

Nice page! I saw the Papa John Paul II 3 times: in Vatican, in Bologna, and in Merida near Cancun, Mexico, where I was on holidays (in 1993 I think).
