<font color=brown>Venice was the first city in Italy I went to besides Milan. It was my first trip to Europe and I loved it. From the train station, we took a ferry boat to San Marcos.

This is a view from the bell tower of St Marks Square. Venice has a population of 65,000. The city of canals and gondolas to get around this fantastic romantic city. It has majestic historical mansions which thrived in the 14th and 15th centuries. It is the 6th biggest city in Europe.

I had a 4 hour train layover in Venice enroute to Trieste years ago, and have been wanting to return ever since. Thanks for sharing all your great pics of Italy.
