Where is Malta? The Maltese archipelago, made up of Malta, Gozo, Comino and two tiny uninhabited rocky islands of Cominotto and Filfla, is situated at the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. These Islands have no mountains or rivers, but a series of low hills and terraced fields. Malta, the largest of the islands, with a population of about 350,000 inhabitants, is a real treasure trove of culture and heritage. The coastline is indented with harbours, bays, creeks, sandy beaches and rocky coves. This island may be reached by air or sea. |
