The first time I visited Venice was in 1994 on a coach tour. On the coach tour I visited Venice twice due to the tour starting at Venice and ending in Venice. I only spent a couple of hours there due to the times-scales. I couldn't look around the famous back-streets and get lost.
Thats why I went back in 1999 with my boyfriend. Its was fanastic when I returned. I got lost in the back streets but I didn't care. The streets where Fanastic. Here is a picture of Art that I found while I was walking around the streets. Not sure where it was because I was lost.
The Grand Canal in Venice is about 3 and a half kilometre (two and half miles) in length, snakes through Venice. The Number 1 Vaporetto (Boat) is the cheapest and best way to see Venice.
Go out of season. It gets really busy during August.
