Stayed in Stalis Crete
May 2001 2002 and 2004
The last 2 times we stayed at Hotel Christiana, right on the beach which has own pool overlooking the sea. Also a pool bar, snooker and table tennis. Clean adequate rooms with balcony, shower cubicle etc.
Stalis itself is mainly one straight road along the beach. Has lots of bars, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes.
The new road bypasses around the edge of Stalis.
Places worth a visit:
TThe market at heraklions just a short bus ride away from Stalis is worth a visit for fresh fruit and hand made gifts etc.
Also AG Nicholas also a real treat with it's harbour and lake surrounded by little cafes and the little streets are full of interesting shops. We caught local bus from Stalis and enjoyed a good day out taking back memories and lots of photos. |
