Mijas Costa

Coastline

beach view
Mijas costa was a lovely spot as the coast line run along the whole of the area, so everywhere you drove in either direction, you had the sea beside you. 10 minutes from several places of interest, including Fuingerola and Benamadenia etc. Lots of ports and harbours to sit around and have a coffee or a meal and people watch. Only 30 minutes from Malaga airport and Marbella are about 10 -15 minutes drive away.
Our apartment was high up in an urbanization, you need a car as quite a walk down to the beach. shops etc. La Cala nearby, had it all, the beach, shops and restaurants and also a local market twice a week which was very good.
Mijas Village

White washed village

Mijas village is very pretty with spectatular views down to the coast. White washed houses and tiny streets with lots of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. The little church in the mountain was very interesting which you were able to enter. A walled walkway around the town was great with marvelous views. We were lucky as had a sunny warm day up there so took lots of photos. There are horse and carts and ponies if you wish to take it easy aound the area. Beautiful area, and still very unspoilt.
Tiny street in Mijas Village

Mijas Village street

Tiny streets in Mijas village with lots of stalls and shops selling everything you can think of, including the local leather, gifts etc. More time than I had was needed to get around the whole area. Will return next year for sure. Lots of restaurants for all tastes.
