"Lake Cachuma" Cachuma Village by su_jen

Cachuma Village Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 3 photos

I didn't really go to the village, but I went to the lake which was absolutely gorgeous and oh so blue - my favorite color :D There's two access (that I know of) to the lake, one is free at Vista Point where you can park at the lot and from there you can see the dam and if you want to go by the water, you can follow a trail which is hidden by the trees. They have restrooms also, but uh... I don't recommend using them at all.. it was just a seat with a hole in it with tons of flies. The other access is the campground (these two roads are about one mile apart from each other) which you'll have to pay a fee of $6 per vehicle entry. If you're bringing dogs with you, make sure you show proofs of current vaccination and I believe it's $3 per doggie. There's other types of passes for different occasions/events.
