I'm fascinated by this area - it used to look just like California's central valley, and now is a major wine country! Debating staying in Yakima or Walla Walla, though. Great tips on the wineries
when are you going again? we went in July and it was HOT! 107 degrees when we got there, found a cheap hotel with a very nice pool.

Walla Walla looked like a Hawaiian place. What a surprise, if I ever come to your place, it will be for the FREE tasting... Will do it (for my wine-drinking wife)
