    • The San Diego Zoo: I used to live in St. Louis, where they have an excellend, free zoo. Everyone says the San Diego Zoo is the best, and it is pretty awesome. But it's expensive, and almost too big.
    All those asphault paths make it hot, too.
    A friend who grew up in the area says the Wild Animal Park, just north of San Diego, is better.

    • Old Town: It is a tourist trap, but it also provides some interesting history of San Diego, and some great Mexican restaurants. There is a coffee cart just as you are about to enter the bazzaar that serves a great 'Mexican' cafe mocha (mocha w/cinnamon).
