Intro

After a couple of years off, I'm back to traveling fairly often as part of my job, and get to earn those valuable points and miles to use on vacation!

My pages cover most of the places I've visited in recent years. Some places, like St. Louis, I visit regularly. And others I have visited only briefly.

I'm also somewhat of a music fanatic, and I like to see live music in the places I visit whenever possible. The two best of these experiences are on my Ireland and Austin, TX pages (U2 and Bob Schneider, respectively). On a recent visit to St. Louis I was lucky enough to get a ticket to the sold out Pete Yorn show at The Duck Room at Blueberry Hill. It was amazing! In April of 09 I attended my first ever New Orleans Jazz Fest and it was wonderful!

Here in Seattle, I haven't seen many live shows lately :(. The last show I saw was Bob Schneider at the Tractor Tavern, and before that Bob Schneider and Ari Hest (who does a beautiful cover of The Leonard Cohen song, "Hallelujah") at the Crocodile Cafe (before it closed - and has since reopened), and before that The Avett Brothers at The Tractor Tavern, The Editors and Stellastarr* at Chop Suey, Bob Schneider at The Crocodile Cafe, and Spoon at The Showbox. All 4 venues are mentioned on my Seattle Page.

When I lived in a high rise in Belltown, this was my view. It always made me happy to look out the window, but renting that view and owning it are 2 very different endeavors.
