Once upon a time, I hiked (with about half a dozen other folks) from Jasper to Banff in the remote backcountry of Alberta. It took us about two weeks and is some of the most remote backpacking I have ever done. But the views were out of this world. Somehow, some day, I will return. Except for the Himalayas, these are the most spectacular mountain sights I have ever seen. Period.
