Just a few quick snaps to let you know what struck me the most about this amazing city...
We start off with the Muhammad Ali mosque. It's located in the Citadel, an amazing walled city built by Saladin in the 12th century. The Citadel is blessedly free of beggars (you have to pay to enter) and has mosques, museums, and one fascinating building after another. Even if you are not a Muslim, you must visit the mosques--you will be enchanted by the exquisite artwork, the design, the...wonder of it all.
