Bridge in Wicklow town
I've been to County Wicklow a few times on family holidays, and of course, now that I live in Dublin, it's only a 30 min drive by car.

Wicklow is known as "The Garden of Ireland" and is very popular with Dublin day-trippers.

The main tourist attractions of County Wicklow are : Glendalough, Bray seafront, Avoca village, Powerscourt gardens and the Wicklow mountains
Arklow Estuary

...and Arklow...

Arklow is in South County Wicklow. It's mainly a town that I usually just pass through on the way to Wexford.

Arklow comes from the Irish "An Inbhear mor", which means "The big estaury" or "large inlet" , so by that piece of useless information, you'll know that it must be on the coast. And here's a picture of said harbour. Arklow is about 1 hour's drive south of Dublin.

James Joyce didn't think much of Moore's poem about the meeting of the waters, hence his comment in Ulysses about Moore's statue, which is above a very different meeting of the waters!!

Never heard of this place before but it seems to be interesting. The picture of Train and Airplane are most interesting. Best Wishes, UD from Lahore, Pakistan.

How many cows did you buy at that auction? Hmmm beefsteak with fries sounds great. Seems that they film many TV-shows in that area, “oh hunny see her” did kiss x y, do you remember from telly” Great tips and photos, a great page.
