Ljubljana - capital of Slovenia, but not particularly a big one. The opportunity to go to Ljubljana came up when Ronan, who was doing his work experience in Florence, mailed me whilst I lived in Graz if I had any tips or whatever about Slovenia, as he and his mate were going to visit a penpal in Ljubljana. So I suppose I pretty much invited myself along too :) We stayed with Ronan's friend's boyfriend Chris from Indiana, who was cool about 3 strangers crashing in his apartment for a weekend. And get this - it turned out that I knew Ronan's mate Edward from a kiddy college course I did in Limerick a few years before!!! How weird was that! So it bode well for the weekend. :) |
