Yeeees...
Recommend Premier Guide's Isle of Man - we found it to be invaluable, as it covered the whole island in good detail and had some great maps & pictures. Would you believe that my Travel Bible "let's go Europe 2000" did not have anything on the Isle of Man??!?! I suppose I should get a newer version, but I've become rather attached to it and have so many notes scribbled in, I could not bear to throw it out!
To really explore the island in detail, you should give yourself a week. A fortnight is way too much. A long weekend is a pretty good taster. |

leecouk12324 Fri Sep 14, 2007 21:59 UTC I had the most massive boredom i ever had in my life at Malmo - Ramsey isn't so bad though - you can go Canoeing on the like - if you think Ramsays really boring maybe you should have gone skinny dipping in the lake to liven things up | christine.j Sat Jul 14, 2007 13:45 UTC I was very interested to read about the bird sanctuary. Great page! | gio0510 Fri Mar 30, 2007 23:05 UTC The owner is a horrible person and you should think twice about bringing your family. He made my husband and I feel horrible. He said we were terrible parents for letting our baby drop food on his floor. | Musquy Tue Aug 15, 2006 13:48 UTC I'm not sure whether you used the roads to cycle from Douglas to Peel, but you could have used the old railway track which is now a footpath. That's about 12 miles, though, so maybe you did! |
