Yeeees...
Recommend Premier Guide's Isle of Man - we found it to be invaluable, as it covered the whole island in good detail and had some great maps & pictures. Would you believe that my Travel Bible "let's go Europe 2000" did not have anything on the Isle of Man??!?! I suppose I should get a newer version, but I've become rather attached to it and have so many notes scribbled in, I could not bear to throw it out!
To really explore the island in detail, you should give yourself a week. A fortnight is way too much. A long weekend is a pretty good taster.
- Pros:Perfect if you like going to countries no-one has ever heard of! :-)
- Cons:Still in a 50's timewarp in some parts

It's the best pub on the Isle of Man, and the drinks are the CHEAPEST by miles. Only thing original poster got wrong is its only £1 to get in EVERY night never a £5
Nearly right. This is the best pub on the Isle of Man. Pints are less than £2 and spirits £1. The entry fee is not £5 its only £1 every night. I love it in there. QUIDS INN is the best
I had the most massive boredom i ever had in my life at Malmo - Ramsey isn't so bad though - you can go Canoeing on the like - if you think Ramsays really boring maybe you should have gone skinny dipping in the lake to liven things up
I was very interested to read about the bird sanctuary. Great page!
The owner is a horrible person and you should think twice about bringing your family. He made my husband and I feel horrible. He said we were terrible parents for letting our baby drop food on his floor.
I'm not sure whether you used the roads to cycle from Douglas to Peel, but you could have used the old railway track which is now a footpath. That's about 12 miles, though, so maybe you did!
nice page....I love the IOM but havent been here for over 25 years, did you try the kippers ?
The Tower of Refuge is the tower itself, St Mary's Isle is the rock it's built on. Peel is the only city on the Isle of Man by virtue of the fact that it has the only cathedral
gr8 IOM pages.....shame u pay 30 quid for a ***e room and then they rob u a 2nd time.I'm from Ryde on the IOW (Wight) so just luv islands....do drop by for a visit to my pages...·:*¨`*:·~My§ticÄl~·:*¨` TIM
