Captain Jack's: Captain Jack's

Just was in town recently and our usual spot - Green's on William St was jam packed and we really couldnt face a long wait (fit to drop from all that shopping!) so we went around the corner onto Thomas St and came across this nice studenty coffeehouse on Thomas St. I must have walked past it millions of times in the past, but it just never occured to me to go in, it's one of those places. But I like the decor, it's dark, full of cute art students and the air is laden with the smell of fresh coffee beans.

Favorite Dish: Had a chicken & bacon wrap with coffee.

Carlton's cafe & Java's: Coffee Shot Java's Review

Carlton's is a new coffeehouse in Limerick which I sampled over the holliers. There's not much in terms of food, but the coffee is hot, strong and reviving, which is all I ask.

Java is not far away from Carlton's, but I love the ambience of the place. It's very popular with thelocal college students and they do some great cakes.....mmmm.... cake....

Pier One: Pier One Pier One Review

Pier 1 is part of the Sarsfield Bridge Inn Hotel in the very centre of Limerick, overlooking the River Shannon.
It's got a very fresh and light woody interior.
We had a lovely, friendly and CUTE waiter
;-) ...always a bonus...

Favorite Dish: I had pork medallions with cranberry stuffing, served with fresh local veg. Naturally, I had to have dessert, [Chocolate!] which was just as yum as the main course

Cruise's Cafe: Cruise's Cafe Cruise's Cafe Review

Cruise's cafe is a nice place to go for a mid-morning coffee when you're flexing your plastic on Cruise's st shopping precinct :)

Greene's: City Centre Bistro Greene's Review

Was in Greene's whilst doing the post - Xmas sales in Limerick for a restorative coffee and sandwich. I hadnt been there in a while but it's been redecorated since I was last there and it looks great. Open from breakfast to dinner.
