Stuttgart is derived from a Stud Farm(garten) that a local duke used to own.
It's the capital of Baden Wuerttemburg. I hit Stuttgart after my rather nice time in Cologne & after the Cebit trade fair in Hannover. I stayed with Leah on campus of Stuttgart University, which is pretty darn big and has its own S-bahn station. In my old college - DCU we just had 2 busstops!
My pal John didnt know I was going to be in Stuttgart that weekend, so I guess he was a bit gobsmacked when he found me curled up asleep on Leah's floor :) |

|  | Second time round - 2004 I was in Stuttgart again in January 2004, but on a business trip this time. I stayed in Boeblingen, which is on the city S-bahn network, so I was able to go into Stuttgart most evenings after my work meetings.
Stuttgart is beautiful in the snow. :-) |
