Getting TO/AROUND: You can buy a weekly or monthly Carte Orange ticket when you arrive in Paris. They are actually much better value than the Paris Visite card. A five-day card for Zones 1+2 (city centre to first "ring" of suburbs) costs €14.50. To get a carte, bring a passport photo with you to the ticket booth & when you get a the carte orange, write the carte's number on the ticket to validate it. Carte Oranges work both on the Metro and RER trains.

Getting TO/AROUND: The RER B train from Charles de Gaulle airport will take you via the city centre - both airport terminals have their own train station, so make sure you have paid for the correct destination. A ticket for CDG to the city centre (Chatelet/Les Halles stop) costs €7.50

Getting TO/AROUND: I flew from Dublin to Paris with Air France to Charles de Gaulle airport. It was cheaper than Air Lingus, more reliable and closer to town than Ryanair (Ryanscaire!)
