....Hot in the city.... | Hot guys cooling down in front of Hotel de Ville! |
I was over in Paris for a week to see my friend Fiona, who was living in Paris for the summer.
Trust me to turn up in Paris at the beginning of August during a heatwave!!!
You'll still get the usual Eiffel Tower etc pics and I managed to get some pics of sexy french guys in shorts - regardez aux mecs !? - mmmm :-) |

| | Paris is not all about romance! I guess one thing that did p1ss me off about Paris and you'll find this mentioned again in my tips, was the brazen, cheeky attitude of street vendors or people who would just walk up to you and say "Give me a euro" or words to that effect. And I thought that was horrible, first of all because I really dont like being mistaken for a tourist when I'm abroad (even though I am! I like to blend in with the locals as far as possible), second - how dare they think they can just walk up to anyone (especially a female on her own) and beg for money. Ok, Paris is gorgeous, but I would prefer to have somebody with me the next time. I' ve never had this much hassle abroad. (no, not even in Maribor!) |
"Appel-moi, bıbı!" Basically I got chatted up practically every day in Paris - this never ever happens in Dublin! It's not just the young guys, I even had an older guy (had to be about 60) give me his number!
I was just crossing the Pont d'Alexandre one afternoon, traffic was a bit crazy and he said something like "C'est tres chaotique ici aujourd'hui, hein?", I agreed and he noticed that I wasnt French. So we were just chatting on the street corner close to the Champs Elysee about Ireland and what to see in Paris etc. So far, so good. And then he was like "my car is the garage but why dont you call me and I will show you around Paris" and then the conversation got a bit uncomfortable so I left as soon as I could. But you can't blame a guy for trying, eh? ;-)) |
