Palma, The Beautiful Capital Of The Balearics

by Tolik - last update: Jul 26, 2003

Palma de Mallorca
In 1983 Palma de Mallorca became the capital of one of Spain's newly established autonomous regions, the Balearic Islands. Today the beautiful capital city presents a wonderful mix of narrow lanes with refurbished old buildings and lively shopping areas, all enclosed by what remains of the old city walls and their replacement boulevards.

Impressive sounding cathedral, it sounds huge as does the candelabras. Quite a change in religion there over the years with those churches. Wonderful places you visited and great info to go with them.
