Our weekend trip to Barcelona was sort of an impromptu thing. You know the feeling - one day we were all sitting around, pretty much stressed with coursework and depressed with London's weather - we all decided we need a break, and I don't even remember how we came up with the location.
We booked our tickets and rooms online last minute, no planning in advance. But it turned out to be the best weekend getaway I ever had :)
Starting with the weather (sunny, was about 20 degrees Celsius), everything about Barcelona - the buildings, art works, hang-out spots, friendly locals, etc. - put a spell on us.
As I was on the plane for London, I realised that a piece of my heart will always belong to Barcelona.
- Pros:great architecture, fun-loving people
- Cons:not many options if you are picky with your diet
- In a nutshell:No. 1 on my list of cities!
