Our week-long trip to Italy got its kick-off with Venezia. Since this was a package deal, accomodation and transportation was already taken care of.
We stayed in Jesolo Lido, it's a town with a coast to Adriatic Sea. It definitely seems like a slow-pace, holiday location.
The vaporetto ride - our means of transportation to Venice - takes about 30-40 min.
As we were first approaching Venice, I was truly amazed by its beauty. I mean, come on... We have been reading it in books, articles, have heard people going on and on about it, seen it gizzilion of times on film. I was convinced that this would yet be another disappointment - you know, when you see something with that much built-up anticipation for the first-time, the reality bursts its bubble... NO, that was not the case with Venezia. Simply beautiful :) |

| Pros: | "The natural beauty, the architecture and the Murano glassworks ;-)" | | Cons: | "OK, overcrowded with tourists. And full of traps to take your money!" | | In A Nutshell: | "Venice is absolutely breathtaking and it could be one of the most romantic places, despite the crowd." |
