Full of Gunpowder Plot history - Great gardens

Coughton Court(Alcester) has been the home of the Throckmorton family since the 15th century. It is now owned by the National Trust though the family descendants have worked hard to restore and maintain the former glory of this great Country Estate.

We loved the gardens most of all. Those interested in the history of the Gunpowder Plot and Guy Fawkes will find the exhibits within the house quite fascinating.

Thanks for the comment. Really love the Coughton pictures. We love the gardens even though we aren't too adept at gardening ourselves. Will be passing through in May.
