138th annual Homecoming dance and celebrations

Third weekend in every July, there is a four day celebration here in Winnebago .. celebrating the return of the Indian Scouts who had gone out to help the Indians. The name of the chief, LIttle Priest, is often mentioned and revered to this day. Pow Wow is very colourful and a joyous occasion, a very communal affair

" we are Indians, not Native Americans"

thus say the self respecting Indians of Nebraska. No one calls himself American, since they find it redundant. Being warriors they have great respect for Armed Forces and Military and Order and participate fully in all the wars and combats and returned soldiers are welcomed with great honour. There is no stigma being a soldier in fact it is considered an honour.
Ask an Indian about: State Terrorism, Biological Warfare and Ethnic Cleansing, you would hear some interesting answers
