The magic of Orinoco Delta

In the pretext of visiting the cuban professionals working in this town at the begining or the end depending upon the way you look at it, of the delta orinoco.. visited the delta for a week. it is sheer magic and the fact that there are no other tourists except in the more commercialized northern part away from the heart of the delta.

Indo Indo american Culture

All your stereotyping of people would be lost in this town which saw the Spaniards entering the River in 1532. Warao Indians had lived here from time immemorial. Recent migrants from Guyana and those forced to leave Guyana by dictator Burnahm are flourishing in this town. Reminds me very much of the story of Bend in the River by Naipaul. wonderfully hospitable people and very quite place to be . Water Water everywhere but no running water except the rain water

A nice leisurely stay at the begining of Venezuela

Very serene is how one could describe the ambience of Curiapo. The mighty river is always within sight. People are extremely friendly and plan to stay and relax with the breeze, the setting sun and the aroma of guyanese indian cooking
