Restored french colonial home. Waiters are in traditional dress. very nice decoration to fit in with the theme of vietnam. three melancholy looking girls with antique instruments belted out equally melancholy songs.
efficient service. pleasant.

Favorite Dish: vietnam house margarita: rice wine, triple sec and lemon
Tofu, vegetables, sauteed mushrooms in pepper sauce

This street is the centre of backpacker mecca. hundreds of establishments of all sorts caring for all the needs of the backpacker crowd.
Nothing special regarding atmosphere or food. just a restaurant in midst of many where you could sit down and eat

It is not the chinese lettering or the red coloured ribbons or the round table that gives it away as being chinese.. as soon as you enter the place you know it is chinese.. thousands of years of culinary expertise has left its elegance in the air.. the waitresses are chinese rather than vietnamese, it is evident from their demeanour. attentive service and good food

Favorite Dish: While walking around the downtown area, actualy south of downtown, stop for lunch and take it easy. Normal chinese fare, comparable to singapore food.

How can I by pass a cafe called Havana?
went inside, the workers greeted with enthusiasm a visitor from Cuba ( Vietnamese are very very fond of Cuba because of the strong friendship between Bac Ho and Bac Fidel and also the help cubans gave during the anti imperialist war)
Many photos of CHE..felt very good

Favorite Dish: I ordred something I have never had in Cuba.. a coconut Capuccino
My friend Thuyen ordered a local variant of Yogurt which came in a tall glass with a vibrant green colour
