Very Good Viet Fare - Phnom Penh
Saigon City 1: Very Good Viet Fare

Just around the corner from the Mekong River Pub, after your mojito there head towards Saigon City 1 Vietnamese restaurant. once again, the maxim holds: where the tourists go the food is bad and where the locals eat the food is better and slightly pricier than the cheap food and expensive drink along the sisowath quay.

Le Tamarin: Fusion Mediterranean Cuisine on rue 240

Operated by a Francais Marocaine, this restaurant has a faithful clientele and when one of them suggested we dine there, it was more than a welcome news.
The decor is attractive, the lighting comfortable and we sat outside on wicker chairs with ample space in between tables.
Service is good as one expects that in Cambodia but not servile.
Obviously it is a favourite spot of many of the expatriate community since i saw people sitting sipping a glass of wine and reading a book. others like us had come there for conversation and the hours just slipped by.
