The Comfort Inn Portsmouth was a very clean and comfortable lodging. Located not quite 2 miles from downtown Portsmouth. This Comfort Inn offered a daily continental breakfast with many extras . Hot waffles, and fresh fruit were just a couple items offered. Of course hot coffee all day is available in the lobby plus there is a coffee maker in your room. All rooms have a microwave and a refrigerator in them. The beds were very comfortable and they even had a plaque that asked if you slept well and told you how to purchase a mattress just like you had slept on that night. I have to say the pillows were rather flat but I just piled a few up and was fine. Hotel staff was very nice and ready to help with all our annoying questions. The lobby had a small shopping area where you could purchase food items for your room. From candy to TV dinners it was there. There is also a small indoor pool area, a hot tub and a workout room. Free highspeed internet is available in all rooms. Not a bad hotel at all!
