Toronto Warning or Danger Tips by chrissyalex

This is a general warning when visiting anywhere to look around you and READ SIGNS VERY CAREFULLY! The reason I say this is because on my last trip to Toronto, I did not look around well enough and ending up paying for it. I parked my car on Bloor Street and was shopping for some books for my father in the area where the Ukrainian shops and delis are. When I was done shopping, I went back to my car to leave and it was gone! I had parked my car legally and thought that it had been stolen and panicked for a minute! THEN, I noticed there were no other cars parked on the street either! They were ALL gone! I looked around some more and that was then that I noticed a sign that read that there was no parking on the street from 4:00 PM until 6:00 pm, to make the street wider for the rush hour traffic! I was relieved that my car was not stolen , but boy, did I feel stupid! I found out where my car was towed to, and had it back about an hour and $60 later. Well, it was a lesson well learned to look very carefully around you and to look VERY carefully to read all signs.
