At the Jishu Shrine we had a nice break in the local Cafe with its special interior and design as seeing in the first two images here. The 3rd image is another nice place for a break later while visiting this Shrine.

By the Ryozen Kannon: Local cafe's and drinking spots

When you hang around a lot by foot in a hear of the summer it was very nice t find all those small local cafe's and drinking spots to have a drink and a break from the daily sun. This one is by the Ryozen Kannon.

Coffee break in the Shrine

We were in Kyoto in the hear of the summer in July and we found it lovely and useful in few of the large shrine's to have coffee places where you can enjoy cold drinks and well as cool done in the air-conditions :)

Cafe Veloce

Cafe Veloce is a modern and western style coffee shop with fast and self services as you have around all over Europe, North America and else where. In Kyoto is just across the main station and a good place to have your caffe latte is you need one :)

Santouka: Kyoto great special style noodle place

I can't remember how we found out this place, somewhere around the Gion area there is complex of many restaurants and this one was the very special noodle place, by far my favourite place to eat in this city and if you visit here, be sure to visit this place, you will enjoy it.

Favorite Dish: We had fantastic noodle dish of course (image 2) as well as excellent cold lager beer (image 3)

Kikusui

While hanging around in Gion we took a break in this restaurant Kikusui. We didn't order any food, only took cold beers so I cannot comment on the food here, but the beer was good :)

Cafe Chourakukan

This place is just in one of the parks in the city, a fantastic Cafe & Restaurant Vienna style since 1909 :) After a long half day session of visiting all the temples and sites in July while it is 30c outside, this was very welcome place to have our lunch break, enjoy the air-conditioning and very good cold drinks.

Sushi at the satation Kaiten zushi Review

At one of the evening on Kyoto we decided to try the local sushi restaurant at the railway station. It was looking as typical place with the dishes pass by you where you can chose the ones you like. However, they also offer you a menu where you can order additional and different items that are not on the line. (see images) The food was good and the service was very friendly.
