Kilpisjärvi area is one of the most beautiful areas in Lapland, beautiful mountains, lakes and nature. Be aware that the place can always be very cold even in the summer.

Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland. It's the largest city here as other places are only towns and villages, so do not expect here too much but still it is nice place to visit and stop over on your way to the far north.

This is the most famous village here, it is somehow a tourist trap but still worth to visit. Buy some souvenirs and try the local food.
