Enjoyed your expose on the many beverages you enjoyed while in Japan and yes nice to get FREE water with your meal w/o asking for it...something Europe should definitely adopt!

Nice overview of Japan and its food, drinks and traditions! Japan was my first Western country which I happened to visit in far 1993. Unfortunately I didn't take video camera in this business trip and can't refresh memory (photos were spoiled).
