Once you already in the park a guided tour is recommended for many reasons and one of them is that they can follow the footsteps of an animal and find them for you.
Groups can be small or larger depends on the day, one thing for sure, they usually do their work very well and it is very interesting experiences.

An alternative is to take a full guided safari tour in the park, I guess for some it is nice and interesting, but for me, just seeing those cars with the large group of people watching animals from the bus window, it is not really my thing, but, it is better then not at all.

Own car self drive Review

The first and obvious choice is your own vehicle and self-drive in the park. It is giving you all the flexibility and freedom to go to where ever you with whenever you want, during the day.
You do not need a 4WD in the park as roads are good enough for normal sedan car, however, the advantage of a 4WD car type is the heights and the better view of the animals.
