Like in every large city, watch your pocket and your bags in the metro or crowded places. Walking around during day is safe, at night, maybe better not to hang around in dark places. If you visit with your foreign car, try to find safe parking place and not to leave your car parked outside unprotected as it might catch the eye of some.
