Getting TO/AROUND: The best way to see around is to use a car, the roads are good but sometimes crowded but what I mean is that if you want to see the heartland of Europe, you must stop and visit the small places, no matter what country, if its small or large, the small places will make your journey beautiful & joyful. If you just after shopping and big cities, you can fly or take the train. Here are few useful links: Road maps: MichelinBy sea: BoatCity Maps: MapsGeneral links: Link

Getting TO/AROUND: Trains I assume are the most common to travel within countries in Europe. I did used train a lot in the past from Italy to Scandinavia it was usually reliable and comfortable. However, at present times as the train tickets prices increase and flying get much cheaper I am commanding always to compare prices, sometimes you can do the distance of one day train journey in two hours flying for additional 10 or 20 Euro, and surely it is worth it. Getting TO/AROUND: If using motorbike, you should know that helmet is a must in most (if not all) European countries. But I’m not sure if underwear required.

To make things easier, as I find them I'm putting all the cheap airlines into a database at http://bigball.wetpaint.com/ Thought you might find it handy. Happy Travels + beer drinking! Albee | diocletianvs Sat Oct 16, 2004 19:33 UTC Just found this page. Price of water is funny, but the Czech motorcycles are hilarious! btw, I don't see a postcard from Croatia.
