It sure ain't Jamaica. We had heard a lot about T&C from friends who just raved about it and we decided to give it a shot and take a break from our annual Jamaica trip. It is harder to get to than Jamaica, and is way, way more expensive.

It has the best water we have ever seen. It is clear, clean, and just the right temperature. We saw marine life that we have never seen so close to shore. The coral heads come literally right up to the water's edge.

Other than the water there is not that much to do. Much like the Cayman Islands it is mostly flat, featureless, and almost devoid of flora and fauna other than what man has transplanted.

We had big group meet us for a family holiday which is something we probably will never do again. It was just too difficult to get everyone to agree and then meet for everytrhing all the time. Its a lot easier when it is just me, the Mrs. and the boy.

Thar she blows!

My sister is a water dog and this is her trying to sneak up behind me. I had recently purchased a Sony Cybershot for my wife and she ordered the waterproof housing. That was the best $100.00 I have ever invested in photographic equipment.

Family, friends, and beer

It seemed like our favorite thing was to just hang out in the water with a beer, or two, or three. this was far and away the best part of the trip, just hanging in the Caribbean and drinking Red Stripe.

• Pros:Wonderful water and very laid back
• Cons:Not much on the land side, not a lot of other things to do
• In a nutshell:Better water than the Cayman Islands and not as crowded
