The only place I have been that is more expensive than this is the Cayman Islands. Bring lots of cash. They really have it dialed in to separate you from as much money as they can and they do a good job of it. I realize that everything is imported but fleecing tourists is an art here.
If you go on a party boat, bring some rum because the drinks are watered down. Every restaurant we ate at cost us $50.00 USD and up and this was in 1992! Lord only knows what it is now. |

Too bad you experienced Nassau or touristy Bahamas. I lived there last year and I found it on par with Canada for food, alcohol and everything else. Living there and travelling there are so different, you just need to know where to look for deals ;) | Bwana_Brown Sat Jul 26, 2003 07:20 UTC
