Croatia is our portal to Bosnia. We fly into Zagreb and a shuttle picks us up and takes us to Bosnia. We get to spend a day at each end of the trip in Zagreb.
I have also crossed Croatia several times when going to and from Hungary. It has a varied climate and terrain. I have not been to the coast but have instead crossed the Eastern part which is mostly farms and villages. |
| | Zagreb is wonderful Zageb is a clean and safe town. I have spent a few days there off and on and I have liked the experience. The people are very businesslike and don't try to hustle you out of your money. While it is not consdiered a toursit destination I have found it to be appealing. Overall I like it, I just wish I couls spend more time there. |
| | Coffee houses There are coffee shops all over Croatia and the best thing about them is that they almost all serve beer! This one is in the main square in Zagreb and it has good coffee and a nice beer slection. My favorite Croatian beers are Karlovasko, Ojusko, and Lasko. |

Pawtuxet Mon Jan 6, 2003 12:42 UTC From the photos I've seen on VT, Croatia looks very different (and better) than I had imagined. That's what I love about VT...we learn every day. |
