"WINCHESTER" Winchester by zuriga

Home of the famous Winchester Cathedral (do you remember the song?), this is a lovely market town in Hampshire. It's the burial place of Jane Austen and is an interesting place to walk around.. especially before Christmas.

This is the oldest building in Winchester... circa 1400.

On the outskirts of town, we found this beautiful walkway next to the river.

I've been there if only for an afternoon. Nice pictures! Would love to hear the story of the cathedral being reconstructed.
