After leaving the Isle of Skye, I spent a night near Lochalsh and then took off the next day to drive around the Applecross peninsula. To get there, I drove around Loch Carron and headed west over the dizzying Na Ba Pass. I stopped for lunch and some seaside walking in the town of Applecross, then headed north to loop around the peninsula.

Hello - Applecross - it's an amazing part of the world, well worth the time and effort getting there. The walled garden and Inn! Campsite is good too. Only one shop tho' - with petrol. Both routes in / out are excellent - so do both, I say!

Hi Julie. I thought you might be lonely out here on Applecross. It's one of my favourite parts of the world. Have just written a travelogue on some of the people who used to live there (my Scotland page) if you're interested. The Beallach na Ba is great!
